Wilderness First Aid & CPR/AED

Red Cross CPR/AED and Wilderness and Remote First Aid (WRFA) - training required for 2 members of each Philmont, Northern Tier, Sea Base, and Summit crew, and highly recommended for unit backcountry camping. Successful participation results in 2-year Red Cross certifications. $129 for all three CPR, AED, and WRFA.

Youth participants must bring proof that age is over 14 years.

GRD Super Training Event

Details: Did you know that research shows that units are more successful when they ensure that ALL of their leaders are fully trained? We know that your time is very valuable and we believe that a commitment to obtaining "trained" status really helps not just the scouts but the adults and the program as a whole and can potentially save you time in planning programming. Please join us over the course of 2 evenings to complete new leader training for ALL Cub and Scouts, BSA adult positions. In addition, we will be providing a Den Leader session. Please note that all sessions occur on 1 of the 2 evenings with the exception of SM/ASM which will be covered both nights. Training starts at 6 pm each night with various end times for each session with a guarantee to be done by 9 on any given night. The cost for this event is $3.50. Should you require child care, we will attempt to accommodate your need for toilet trained children. Leave No Trace Trainer Course

Intro to Outdoor Leadership Skills

Details: Please join us for a day at Kiwannis Scout Camp! We will be providing all of the modules required to complete your IOLS training. Our day will start at 7:30 am and end by 6 pm. Cost: $25.00, this includes lunch and supplies for activities. Please pack as if you are coming to camp for the weekend. Upon completion of the full day of programming you will have met this requirement toward your "trained" status. Chain Saw Safety Training
