This is a BSA nationally recogniized training course, you will receive a training certificate and patch.
People who are willing to activiely help and promote fishing in their council, districts, and troops are encouraged to come!
Chief Instructor and host is John Woodhall III, Area 1 fishing advocate and Section Director for National Camp School first year camper and outdoor skills program.
Subjects Covered
Fishing and the BSA, review of basic fishing skills to be taght including fly casting, fly tying, knots, equipment, background on Merit badge programs for fishing and fly fisnhing. The complete angler award for Scouts.
Cost
Three options
- Includes a patch and certificate plus bait, food and materials: $35
- Basic fee and set of ly tying tools inn wooden box: $55
- Basic fee, fly tying tools and fly rod with reel and line: $110
