Details: Chainsaw Safety Training
Northern Star Scouting is offering Chain Saw Safety Training on a couple dates at two different locations. Chain Saw Safety Training is required if you are planning to operate a chain saw on Northern Star Council camp properties. Events such as Conclaves and Alumni work weekends benefit from trained volunteers. Cutting is always done at the discretion of the Camp Ranger and/or council staff.
LOCATIONS AND DATES:
Phillippo Scout Camp: March 16, 2024 - Meet in the ranger yard.
Stearns Scout Camp: April 20, 2024 - Meet at the Whitewater cabin.
Stearns Scout Camp: September 28, 2024 - Meet at the Whitewater cabin.
Phillippo Scout Camp: October 26, 2024 - Meet at the dining hall.
All Classes will run the same at all locations.

Protect our outdoor spaces and experiences! Learn Leave No Trace skills for your outings.
Who: Scouts at least 13 and BSA registered adult
Where: Phillippo Scout Camp. Check in at LaSueur Lodge
When: Saturday June 22nd arrive 7:30am - Sunday June 23rd leave at noon
What: Participate in low impact activities that protect natural resources and outdoor experiences. Three meals provided. Notify of food allergies or special accommodations needed. Taught by Level 1 and 2 Leave No Trace Instructors.
Cost: $45 per participant registered before June 10th, after $55 per participant. The cost covers; materials, facility fees, camping and three meals for the weekend. Registration closes June 17th.
